We will pick up guests from their accommodation and then commence a tour of the inner city and see:-
The Avon River, Victoria Square, Town Hall, Museum, Botanical Gardens, The Arts Centre, Antigua Boat Sheds and The Catholic Cathedral.
We'll make our way up the Port Hills via the Sign of the Takahe, Sign of the Kiwi and carry on up the Summit Road with views out over the Canterbury Plains, Lake Ellesmere and Kaitorete Spit, past the Sign of the Bellbird overlooking Lyttelton Harbour, Diamond Harbour and Quail Island.

Little River to admire the local arts and crafts, browse the Art Gallery, perhaps have a coffee or enjoy a stroll in this quiet little farming town.
Barry's Bay Cheese Factory where you can sample a variety of locally made cheeses.
Photo stop at The Hilltop overlooking Akaroa Harbour and Onewa Peninsula
After a barbecue lunch in Akaroa you'll have time to do a variety of things at your leisure. Perhaps take a harbour cruise, or The Paua Bay Farm Tour where you'll meet these fifth generation farmers and watch the sheepdogs working on the steep hills, see a sheep shearing demonstration and relax with a tea/coffee and home made scones on the homestead verandah and just admire the prolific birdlife at this unique setting. We depart Akaroa at 4pm and stop at Birdlings Flat where you can collect many beautiful stones along the beach.
Arrive back at your accommodation at approximately 5.45 pm.
